.Nov. 4: The Kings of Salsa at the Marin Center

The roots of culture and passion as displayed through dance are definitely not American concepts. While the Argentineans developed the tango, Spain the flamenco and Brazilians the samba, Americans get to add the sprinkler, the running man and something called the “Molly Ringwald” to our list of uncultured accomplishments. The Kings of Salsa introduce their Cuban roots through Afro-Caribbean moves, world-class contemporary dance and Cuban classics on Friday, Nov. 4, at the Marin Center. 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael. 8pm. $20–$45. 415.499.6400.
