A Sensory Exploration of Californias Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Learn about the art and craft of extra virgin olive oil with experts from the California Olive Oil Council (COOC) and taste some of SHED’s favorite oils in this workshop all about olive oil! Extra virgin olive oil is the highest grade of olive oil. With the guidance of olive oil producer and COOC member Nancy Lilly, participants in this workshop will learn the sensory tasting techniques used by expert judges to distinguish between oils and determine flavor and aroma notes that range from nutty to peppery to fruity.
