When: Tue., June 20, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2017
For 140 years the public 82-acre Chanate Complex has provided care for the poor and disenfranchised in our community. Giving it away for $6+ million to a wealthy private developer, as the county has planned, is shortsighted. The county needs to ensure the future of indigent care, women's health and mental health. This land could continue to provide for the most vulnerable in our community. Ask the supervisors to slow down the sale and allow further community input on the sale of public land. Show up in support. WEAR WHITE in solidarity! Search Facebook Event: "Don't Sell Chanate Short-BOS Meeting!"
