An Anthropologists View of the Time Capsule

When: Sat., March 24, 2-3 p.m. 2018

What is in the Time Capsule? And what does it say about the people in 1968 who chose and placed those particular items in the Time Capsule? Fifty years into the present, how does their worldview compare with how we now see that time? In this program, anthropologist Margaret Purser will address those questions and will provide fodder for debating what items to put into the next Time Capsule. Margaret Purser received her BA from the College of William and Mary, and her PhD in Anthropology from UC Berkeley. She is a Professor of Anthropology at Sonoma State University
