When: Fri., July 3, 6-8 p.m. 2015
Ariana Papademetropoulos uses illusionary techniques in her art practice in an attempt to multiply the meaning of found images she appropriates for her paintings. The manipulation of these unique, vintage ephemera from magazines, postcards and books causes their palette to morph and draws out new psychological undercurrents. Her reworking transforms the original images into something that registers as contemporary and timeless. The show runs from July 3rd through July 25th.
