Praised for its “great elegance and style” (The Washington Post), the Curtis Chamber Orchestra brings a program featuring three prominent alumni of the Curtis Institute of Music: conductor Robert Spano leads a program that includes Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony; Mozart’s great Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter;” a new viola concerto by Curtis faculty member Jennifer Higdon performed by Curtis President Roberto Díaz; in addition to three songs composed by Mr. Spano.
