After two decades as a pilot, Haskell returns with a new group and a simmering sense of swing. After a career in the 1980s as a respected improviser, Haskell followed his dream to become a pilot—and now, he’s back in the jazz scene with a brand-new group. Accompanying pianist Steve Carter and drummer Alan Hall have worked with masters like Sheila E., Bill Summers, George Benson, Bobby Womack, Don Cherry, Taj Mahal, Eddie Harris, and Art Lande. With a simmering sense of swing, Haskell is back in fighting trim, ready to pick up right where he left off.
