Fall Food Gardening

When: Sat., Aug. 25, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 2018

Presented by UC Master Gardener Program of Sonoma County Food Garden Specialists. What happens in the garden as the days get shorter? This workshop will discuss fall and winter gardens, including planting for a fall vs. early spring harvest; soil care in unused winter beds; how to protect against cold and frost; and plant selection (greens, garlic and asparagus). There will be hands-on participation: bring your garden hat and gloves. In the event of rain, indoor space is available.
