Ceremonial vessels, dippers, storage containers, even jewelry or bird houses... the choice is vast. The gourds will first be prepared by sanding and cutting. Using dyes, acrylic paints, stains or wood burning tools the surface is decorated, then embellished with beads, feathers, yarn, twine, or drift wood. We will have a collection of beads available if you want to make a shekere, the African style beaded shaker or a rattle. Most material are provided to make at least 1 gourd.
