Illusion: Traditional Methods and Contemporary Conceptions Three Oil Painters from the Russian River Atelier

When: Sundays, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Continues through July 2 2017

Our next show features the work of three oil painters who are all a part of Russian River Atelier, a collaborative working art studio in Sonoma County whose artists share a passion for traditional and contemporary realist painting and drawing. The artists -- Jay Blums, Naomi Marino, and Linda Schroeter -- all work on their own art and painting practices along with hosting classes and intensive workshops on still-life painting, figurative drawing, pictorial composition and portraiture. Schroeter states, “My goal is to be the best at my craft, to create powerful paintings that have meaning and will be noticed, and to pass on time honored techniques to others.” Join us to meet the artists and hear about their work at an opening reception and art talk on Sunday, April 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
