When: Thu., Aug. 31, 7-8 p.m. 2017
Join us for an evening of 3D printing and environmental philosophy as Erika Woolsey, co founder of The Hydrous demonstrates 3D modeling of the world's coral reefs. The Hydrous creates high resolution 3D models of corals for research and visualization. Using just a camera and software, they produce accurate, interactive 3D models that are easy to view. These models are representations of living corals, made by stitching together underwater photographs. This method allows them to measure and share coral reefs in a compelling and non-destructive way.
