Ohioan at The Arlene Francis Center

When: Tue., Jan. 22, 8 p.m. 2013

OHIOAN was originally formed in Portland Oregon nine years ago by O Ryne Warner as a project to explore the boundaries of country and american roots music. OHIOAN thusly combines a robust songwriting talent and sensibility gleaned from the history of these musics with free wild improvisation, creeping minimalist drone, and occasional indulgences in the authoritative riff.  As the band has changed over the years, its line up has included members of BRAINSTORM, Castanets/Raymond Byron & the White Freighter, Old Time Relijun/Malaikat dan Singa, AU, Jackie-O Motherfucker, Eternal Tapestry, Ghost to Falco.
