When: Sun., June 25, 12-4 p.m. 2017
"One Heart-One Community" Continuing a decades-old West Marin tradition, Sacred Heart Olema Church will proudly host a celebration festival for locals and visitors on Sunday June 25, noon to four. Highlighting the day will be music from the celebrated "Los Cenzontles" with M.C. Gus Conde and a Barbeque chicken meal with veggie options. Kids and adults will enjoy an ice cream station and a dessert table with goodies made by prize winning local bakers. Fresh local oysters, A taco bar, an Irish coffee and Margarita bar and a coffee bar staffed by youthful baristas will dot the beautiful grounds of the parish. Local West Marin arts and crafts along with restaurant dinners and a few surprises will be hotly contested in a silent auction. Kids will have a chance at games of skill and participate in a "cake walk." The food and drink is no-host and the entry fee is only ten dollars. The festival is a fund raiser for Sacred Heart Parish, a cornerstone of West Marin for a century and a half providing community support, meeting space, disaster relief and social services along with its ministry. As a faith community the parish leads the local fight for social justice continuing to serve, share and foster solidarity in our West Marin. Please come and enjoy the forest, the trails and the air of West Marin and stop by Sacred Heart on your way to the beach for some fun on the first Sunday of Summer.
