Each of Schaffer's selfie shadow paintings reveal an encounter, a meeting of artist and environment and a dialogue between the two. The paintings blur the line between portrait and landscape by depicting the artist's presence in places that have personal meaning to her. The locations have universality and yet are as diverse as simple-at home to bigger than life to far away vistas that transport the viewer to new heights. Schaffer’s exhibit runs through April 27. A reception will be Saturday, April 5th, 4-8 PM.
