Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week/9 session program that introduces you to the "Mindfulness" practice created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at UMASS Medical Center. Numerous hospitals, the military and companies such as Google and Apple offer MBSR to employees and patients as a means to measurably reduce stress and improve the health of mind and body. Scientific studies show that it also helps people that suffer from chronic pain, hot flashes, depression, anxiety, weight issues, alcohol addiction, and prescription drug abuse. 8 Class Sessions, Tuesdays, 7pm-9pm, and 1 all-day retreat session on Sat 7/18, 9:30am-3:30pm.
