The Arlene Francis Center Presents: Civil Rights in our United States in the 1960s

Charles Prickett attended the March on Washington in 1963, participated as a volunteer and paid staff ($14 per week) in the Mississippi Freedom Summer of 1964, and helped organize and participated in the Selma-Montgomery March in 1965. His presentation and the film, “A Regular Bouquet” (28 minutes) chronicles these experiences, focusing on the local people from the black communities that were the crux of the civil rights movement.
