When: Wed., July 22, 6-7:30 p.m. 2015
Art and poetry converge again once at SVMA when three notable California poets come together to celebrate the art of one of California's greatest artists, Richard Diebenkorn. William Greenwood and Nils Peterson will be reading selections of their ekphrastic poetry (that's poetry that describes a work of art) in conjunction with Sonoma Valley Museum of Art's current exhibition, The Intimate Diebenkorn: Works on Paper, 1949-1992. Envisioned by Bill Greenwood, who has written four poems inspired by the art of Richard Diebenkorn over the years, this event will be introduced by Sonoma County's Poet Laureate, Katherine Hastings.
Price: $5 admission at the door, but please RSVP (http://www.svma.org/calendar/events/some-ekphrastic-evening)
