The Masters of Photography Lecture Series You are invited to join photographer and art historian Jeffrey Martz for an evening talk and presentation celebrating the life and work of some of the most influential practitioners in the history of photography. French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson was considered a master of candid photography. He pioneered the genre of street photography, and viewed photography as capturing a decisive moment. Cartier-Bresson was one of the founding members of Magnum Photos in 1947, along with Robert Capa, David Seymour, William Vandivert and George Rodger.
