In August 2003, singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Land assembled his band, the Downtowners, from a group of musicians with very diverse musical backgrounds. The eclectic blend of the various genres resulted in a unique sound, referred to in a newspaper article following the release of their "Pirate Eyes" album in 2005 as "Country-folk-rock with a blues backbone". Another decade and two albums later, Dave Land and the Downtowners continue to excite audiences whenever they perform. With their streamlined sound, now referred to as "country infused vintage rock and roll", they will take you on a ride through an emotional landscape.
