Domestic Violence Interventions (DVI) are promoted with the promise of respectful and non-violent treatment. Unfortunately, we can unintentionally re-traumatize our clients. We'll explore this ethical conundrum, reducing recidivism, and other therapeutic issues. View them through the lens of evidence-based Trauma and Violence Informed Practices, learn how to weave them into current DV treatment. Also explore ways to begin creating community-wide social change in treating DV. Art Fisher, International Trainer on Violence and Trauma Informed Practice, has taught 90 workshops in 15 countries.
