When: Sun., Nov. 1, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 2015
Here is a real treat of a workshop with weaving expert, Charles (Charlie) Kennard. Enjoy a delightful day full of hands-on learning in Heron Hall and around the peaceful Laguna Environmental Center grounds. We will make an Owens Valley Paiute-style scoop-shaped basket using several uncommon weaving techniques. This is a rare type of basket, known from a collection in Chicago, and once used for gathering, and for storing honeydew. Most workshop supplies, as well as light snacks and hot drinks are provided. All skill levels welcome! Pre-registration required.
