When: Wednesdays-Sundays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Continues through July 27 2014
Over a period of fifty years, William Wiley has distinguished himself as an artist whose extensive body of work has consistently defied mainstream contemporary art, reaching for unexplored modes of visual expression. Done with a commanding knowledge of form and craftsmanship, his work, addressing important social, political and environmental issues, make use of word-plays, puns, double entendre, and a sense of the absurd. To enhance the visitor experience, a facsimile of one of Wiley’s studio walls will include drawings, watercolors and sketches as well as notes for his work. This exhibition is guest curated by Sue Kubly and Peter Selz.
Price: $5 general admission, $8 for families, always FREE on Wednesdays, to Museum members, and to students under the age of 18
