Introduction to birding—observation by sight. Spring is the best time to observe our colorful and interesting avian fauna, as they are “all dressed up” for the breeding season. Sugarloaf, with its varied habitats, is an ideal place for “birding”. This will be a 2 mile moderate hike with some uphill, and lots of stops. Bring binoculars if you have them, and good shoes for rocky or uneven trails. Rain cancels. Parking fees apply.
