WILD THINGS: A film about the war on native carnivores

When: Mon., Sept. 23, 6:15 p.m. 2013

This film features interviews with Marin & Sonoma County ranchers, along with scientists, conservationists & even former Wildlife Services trappers who believe it is time for a major change in the way we treat our native carnivores. Every year in Sonoma County, USDA trappers still kill hundreds native predators including mountain lions, bobcats, bears, foxes & coyotes. ALDF, NRDC, Project Coyote, and the HSUS Wildlife Land Trust are urging Sonoma County to terminate its predator control contract with Wildlife Services and implement a non-lethal predator program like Marin County’s––which has reduced predation by 62% at 1/3 of the cost.
