WILD THINGS: A flim about the war on local carnivores

When: Wed., Sept. 25, 6:30 p.m. 2013

This film features interviews with Sonoma County ranchers along with scientists, conservationists and even former Wildlife Services trappers, who believe it is time for a major change in the way we treat our magnificent native carnivores. Every year in Sonoma County, USDA trappers kill hundreds native predators including mountain lions, bobcats, bears, foxes & coyotes. The Animal Legal Defense Fund is urging the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to terminate its predator control contract with Wildlife Services and implement a non-lethal control predator program like Marin County’s which has reduced predation by 62% at 1/3 of the cost.
