Join us for an exploration of the fantastic flowers of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. The park boasts an incredible diversity of ecosystems and a corresponding diversity of flowers. Meadows with lupines and fragrant tarweed, wetlands with seepspring monkeyflower, chaparral with its short-lived flowers of luscious-smelling ceanothus and chamise, mixed woodlands with chocolate lillies and evening-blooming soaproot, serpentine with its specialized plants, and redwood forest with starflower. Be prepared for 2-3 miles of walking over moderate terrain. No charge - but registration required.
